PROCESSES
SLM
SLM is an industrial 3D printing technology which builds parts from a range of metal materials one layer at a time by sintering metal powders together. This process is capable of building highly complex shapes which would be near impossible to make via other methods.
Materials available: Tool Steel, Stainless Steel, aluminium, copper, titanium
Advantages of SLM
-Great for functional parts and prototypes
-Complex geometries
-Low volume production possible
Range of materials
What is it used for?
SLM is a great choice for manufacturing complex shapes and geometries which would either be impossible or incredibly expensive to manufacture via conventional processes. Used extensively in automotive, aerospace and medical industries it is a great choice for weight saving applications and part consolidation.
